I love watching Maddie’s personality develop as she gets older. We have two traits defined- she is a people person and an outdoor person. She must’ve gotten the former from my hubby and the latter from me. I need to step out for at least a Starbucks run (now a Target run), otherwise, cabin fever hits me hard.
The day after it rained, Maddie and I went for a walk in our neighborhood in our matching Hunter boots. I can’t say enough good things about Hunter boots, especially after having owned several pairs from other brands. And if you’re not fond of the rain like me, I do everything and anything possible to avoid getting wet from head to toe. My head because I’ve got a crazy hair to tame. My feet because getting my shoes + socks wet is a pet peeve of mine. So, rain boots are an essential in my life.
My first pair of rain boots were purchased from Target (don’t get me wrong, I am a through and through Target fan) back when I was in college. It finally rained in LA and I excitedly wore them to class — and found out mid-way there that the weight of the boots were literally, unbearable. I dragged my heavy boots to class with blisters all over my feet, and then had to call my ex-boyfriend, with whom I was in a fight with, for a ride back to my dorm room. My second one from another brand ripped after a few months of wear. My third rain boots are the Hunter boots that I currently own and I purchased them 3 years ago. Still in perfect condition, light as a feather, and also converts into snow boots by using fleece inserts. For me, it’s all about getting multiple uses and functions out of one item. So, if you’ve been on the hunt for the perfect rain boots, Hunter boots are your best bet! Yes, they are a bit pricey, but it will last you a long time and its functionality is worth every penny.
I heard that It’s supposed to get real cold over the weekend, so stay warm friends! Happy Friday!
